Anyone that knows me, knows I like to stay as local, natural, and earth friendly as humanly possible for products we use, but with our debt free journey...it can be a challenge. I've been an avid Young Living Oil (member #1478247) user for a few years now and I have scary collection ;) But there are products I buy/use/recommend to my mommy friends quite frequently. Note: I am in no way paid for this post. I'm just a momma who likes to share what has worked for us.
I'll update products that we love as time comes.
You should also be aware that I'm a BIG nerd when it comes to products. I like to research, read reviews, etc. before I buy anything. It's my thang'
I have a favorite soap I use on my kids and quite frankly use it myself because it smells so good <3
Dr. Bronner's Lavender Soap ~ it smells yummy and I find it less irritating on my kid's skin
Instapot ~ Think of this like a crock pot on steroids. I kid you not. I just got this amazing gadget and made a tortilla soup in 10 minutes the other night.
Viva Labs Organic Elderberries ~ There is so much research about the benefits of elderberry syrup during cold and flu season, but good gracious it's expensive...so I decided to make my own. I found this great recipe from Real Food RN Now, some kids LOVE the taste. My kids not so much but they humor me and take it with ease.
I know I'm forgetting some products, but I have no memory. My children stole it.
Websites/People that I love:
Hippie In Disguise ~ I adore Danielle. I'm secretly hoping we'll meet one day (in a totally non-stalkerish kind of way lol). Her blog is a go to for me to find out just about anything. I get lost in the articles, interviews, and images.
Alison Little @our.littlehouse on IG ~ I think what draws me in with Alison is that she lives in NC (like myself), has 4 kids (like me too) and her images make me want to sell everything we have and live as simply has possible.
Jodi Mockabee on IG ~ If you haven't heard of Jodi, I urge you to go now and follow her. I have never wanted to homeschool my children until I found her. Now, I still don't have that urge to plunge yet, but I love to relish in her teachings.
Frugal woods ~ I love their about me page that reads: "We’re a couple of ex-urban, rookie homesteaders finding contentment on 66 acres in central Vermont along with our daughter and dog. Extreme frugality made this dream a reality; now we’re charting a life of purpose beyond the 9-5. And trying to figure out what to do with a massive crop of rhubarb…" Don't you just want to be their friend? lol They really have taken the reigns to my lets get out of debt and live motto. Follow them, they are truly an inspiration.
